At Peekaboo Childcare, we believe in nurturing not only growing minds, but growing bodies too. Health and wellbeing are essential foundations for a child’s development, learning, and overall happiness.
We take a holistic approach to each child’s growth, with nutrition playing a key role in supporting their energy, focus, and wellbeing. Our meals are thoughtfully planned and prepared by our talented in-house cook, Chango, who brings both passion and care to everything he creates.
Chango
Chango provides fresh, nutritious meals that children genuinely enjoy. His menu incorporates a wide variety of food groups to ensure balanced, wholesome meals, while also encouraging children to explore new flavours, textures, and foods with confidence.
Wherever possible, our meals are made from scratch using high-quality ingredients, with minimal sugar and no added preservatives or sulphates. We are committed to providing food that supports healthy habits from an early age.
Alongside nutritious meals, we prioritise active movement and outdoor play as part of everyday learning. With access to generous outdoor spaces, including our natural garden, children enjoy opportunities to run, ride bikes and scooters, and engage in physical play—supporting both their physical development and overall wellbeing.

In New Zealand the Education Review Office (ERO) reviews schools and early childhood services every three years on average and publishes national reports on current education practice.
All ERO reports can be found on-line at www.ero.govt.nz. Please note that prior to 2019 Peekaboo Childcare Operates under two licenses, one for 50 children 2 - 5 years old and the other birth to two years for 25 children.

My two little girls who are nearly 4 and nearly 2 have been at Peekaboo Forest hill for nearly 10months now and they absolutely love it!! After returning back to work in April the transition for our family was hard, especially on the girls. The staff were amazingly supportive throughout this time always offering encouragement, advice and lots of cuddles. My older girl in preschool is very sensitive and shy and was having a really hard time when it came to drop offs and toilet training. The teachers were always understanding and always tried to make the hard moments easier. My daughters confidence has grown immensely and she now can’t wait to get to daycare in the mornings, even wants to go in the weekends. All thanks to Michelle and her amazing team of teachers. I would highly recommend Peekaboo forest hill they have great staff great facilities beautiful food and really make you feel at home.

Our family absolutely loves Peekaboo and couldn’t recommend it more. Our daughter loves going to daycare every day and learns so much. The teacher’s are kind and genuinely care about each child and their goals. We have built a great relationship with the teachers and will be sad when our daughter has to leave for school!
We've had two boys with Peekaboo who have gone from the nursery room, to toddler and now in the pre-school room. I can honestly say the experience has been incredible all the way through. The kids love going there every morning, they eat well and most importantly are happy. They have great systems in place and communication so we always know whats haippening with our kids days. They are even gret at giving us advice to help with our childs development based on their individual needs.
Ultimately, what every parent wants when they go through the anxiety of leaving their children is to know they are in safe hands and the team at Peekaboo do that and more!

As a first time Mum returning to work with my child only being 9 months old I was quite apprehensive; however the teachers at Peekaboo Forrest Hill were so kind, caring and professional any apprehension I held quickly disappeared. My son has settled well and loves his teachers, they take very good care of him which means I can go to work and not worry. He is fed really well with a variety of food and I can see that he is thriving being in their care. The premises are brand new and always clean and tidy with great parking for pick up and drop off. Communication is great with any concerns cleared up with a quick phone call. Would highly recommend.
Finding a daycare for my two children around the Milford area was quite difficult for me having moved from Botany. However, the moment I stepped foot into Peekaboo I knew it was the one. Michelle and her staff were all so welcoming and made me feel comfortable. I have one son at Nursery and the other in Toddlers, and both settled within a week. They love their teachers and I can tell they are being well looked after. Don't waste your time looking at other places, Peekaboo really know what they're doing! highly recommend :)
