& Mission

To provide high-quality early childhood education in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, where children are supported to become confident, independent learners. We partner with families and our community to foster strong relationships, celebrate diversity, and create meaningful learning experiences that inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Our Philosophy

At Peekaboo Childcare, we believe in creating a positive, connected community where children, teachers, and families thrive together – because happy children, supported by passionate teachers and engaged families, create the foundation for lifelong learning.

We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating early learning environment where every child feels valued, respected, and a true sense of belonging. We celebrate each child as an individual, supporting their unique strengths, interests, and potential as they develop confidence and a love of learning.

Our approach is guided by Te Whāriki, New Zealand’s Early Childhood Curriculum, and delivered through a play-based philosophy that balances child-led exploration with intentional teaching. We recognise that learning is a reciprocal process, where children grow through both spontaneous experiences and thoughtfully guided opportunities.

We foster environments that are inviting, inclusive, and rich in opportunities – encouraging curiosity, independence, creativity, and problem-solving. Through meaningful play, physical activity, and a focus on wellbeing and nutrition, we support children’s holistic development and help them build the skills they need for life.

Strong, respectful relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We work in genuine partnership with families and whānau, valuing open communication, collaboration, and shared aspirations for each child. Together, we create a supportive community where children feel secure, confident, and empowered.

We embrace diversity and celebrate the cultures, identities, and languages of all children and families within our community. We honour the bicultural heritage of Aotearoa New Zealand and uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi – partnership, protection, and participation—in our daily practice.

Our passionate and professional teaching team bring energy, warmth, and authenticity to their work every day. Through positive guidance and meaningful interactions, we support children to develop strong social skills, emotional resilience, and a sense of responsibility for themselves, others, and the environment.

At Peekaboo, we are proud to provide a warm, welcoming, “home away from home” where children are inspired to explore, grow, and become confident, capable learners ready for their ongoing journey.
